How we begin

When you decide to come for counselling, we will begin by meeting for an initial session. This is a chance for me to learn a bit about what brings you to therapy, as well as your background and your current life situation. It is also your chance to meet me and ask any questions you might have about counselling.

We will usually meet once a week or fortnightly and sessions last 50 minutes. The number of sessions varies depending on the issues brought to therapy, I am able to work on an open ended basis with you, and I can also offer time limited therapy for those who need it, which consists of 12 sessions or less.

Confidentiality is extremely important and it is crucial that you feel you can speak freely in your sessions, everything we discuss together will remain confidential.
